My Hack to Making ANY Oatmeal High Protein

My goal during this past weight loss cycle was to hit 150 g of protein/day. And even though I’ll never get sick of scrambled eggs for breakfast, I snuck in extra protein everywhere I could, including adding egg whites to oatmeal.

✅If you haven’t done this before, this is my method:

Mix
🟢1/3 cup oats with
🟢2/3 cup water

Cook in microwave for 60 seconds. Stir and cook 30 seconds longer.

Then stir in
🟣1/2 cup liquid egg whites

Return to microwave and cook for 30 seconds longer.

After that, I flavor it! It is the best base for a hearty oatmeal breakfast I have found!

Ingredients in Snickers Protein Oatmeal

  1. Oats – Oats are one of the best things you can eat for breakfast if you want to be full for a long time, and they are packed with fiber!
  2. Water – Some people make their oatmeal with milk but I find that water does the job for zero calories!
  3. Liquid Egg Whites – You can buy cartons of egg whites for super cheap at costco and they are a super easy way to add protein to your oatmeal!
  4. Peanut Butter Powder – If you haven’t tried this, you must! It is great for baking and is low calorie! Here are some of my other favorite recipes that use peanut butter powder! You can use my code HEALTHBEET at peanutbutterco for a discount!
  5. Salted Caramel Chocolate Chips – I buy these from @lilys_sweets because they are sugar free and delicious!
  6. Caramel Sauce – This syrup is zero calories if you get it from skinny mixes and the best part is, I have a discount code for you! Use HEALTHBEET at checkout!
  7. Peanuts – What is a snickers without peanuts? I feel like that is what sets it apart from other candy bars! A must in this recipe!
